The recent One Red Day event, held in partnership with Britannia, has been hailed as a huge success by guests and organisers as parents and children enjoyed a day to remember at Old Trafford & Carrington.
The event took place on 18th April 2011, following a promotional campaign with Britannia which invited Manchester United fans to open adult & junior Save and Support accounts. 15 lucky prize winners were selected at random to attend the event, along with a child of their choice.
The day began with a look behind the scenes at Carrington, followed by a coaching session at the clubs’ indoor Academy under the guidance of professional Manchester United Soccer Schools coaches. Guests then travelled back to Old Trafford in style for a luxury lunch in a hospitality suite.
The group also took part in a fun quiz before going backstage at Old Trafford. Guests were invited to explore the first team dressing room, sit in Sir Alex’s dugout seat and walk down the famous players’ tunnel. The tour was then rounded off with a look round the museum.
Fred the Red made a surprise appearance to help present awards and gifts to the guests and to ensure their special day was ended in style. George & William Sutton-Green, who attended the event, said the day ‘couldn’t have been better’ and Charlie Howarth, another lucky prize winner, stated it was a ‘fantastic day for adults and kids.’ For more information visit Man Utd Finance.
