Santas at the Ready!

Join Ryan Giggs for a festive family day out at Manchester United Foundation’s sixth annual Santa Run on Sunday 2 December 2012.

The Welshman will kick off proceedings at this charity event where runners are invited to raise money for the Foundation and its charity partners, Francis House Children’s Hospice, The Christie and UNICEF, or any other charity of their choice.

Giggs commented, "I’m looking forward to getting involved and seeing all the runners dressed up on the day!  This event is particularly special as not only is it great fun but you can run for any charity so hopefully lots of money will be raised for many good causes."

The 2K fun run, beginning at 11:30, is one for all the family, as participants make their way around Old Trafford, down the players’ tunnel and alongside the pitch.

The 5K Serious Santa Run will start at 12:30 with its route taking in the sites of the Imperial War Museum, The Lowry and MediaCity, culminating with a lap around the pitch.

Other Christmas activities taking place around the stadium will include the Manchester United Foundation Youth Choir serenading runners as they make their way around the Theatre of Dreams, a brass band playing festive tunes and children can also visit Father Christmas in his grotto to receive an early Christmas gift.

Entry costs are £10 for a single entry, £5 for children or £20 for families.
