Reds on Japan social media

Manchester United launched an official Twitter page in Japanese (@ManUtd_jp) on Monday, the day the team arrived in arrived in Yokohama on Tour 2013 presented by Aon.

Following the successful launch earlier this month of a global Twitter page in English (@ManUtd) and a Sina Weibo page in Mandarin, Japanese-speaking fans can now engage with the club in a way they have never experienced before.

Some tweets will be a direct translation of the English page but fans can also expect bespoke and exclusive content tailored to them, as well as iconic artwork and behind-the-scenes footage.

Posts on day one included a special video message from Shinji Kagawa, recorded moments after he linked up with his team-mates for the first time in pre-season.
