Calling all Irish Reds

MUTV’s documentary team is kicking off yet another ambitious project, Green Devils, and needs Manchester United fans in Ireland to get involved.

The programme is being fronted by Simon Delaney, a huge United supporter and established actor, TV presenter and director in the UK, Ireland and the USA. Fans may remember him from Moone Boy, Touch with Kiefer Sutherland and Steve Coogan's Alpha Papa (Alan Partridge) movie amongst countless other films and projects.

The feature-length programme focuses on the incredible connection between Manchester United and Ireland. It will be an historical journey, covering more than a century's worth of football legends like Best, Keane, Carey, Gregg, Irwin... the list goes on. It will also be part travelogue, taking MUTV viewers all over Northern Ireland and Ireland on the Green Devils tour bus. The bus will meet up with fans to hear their incredible United stories and to ask for their help in selecting a Greatest Green Devils XI.

Calling all United fans in Ireland! Filming starts in November so we want fans to get in touch with us before 25 October to give us their stories, favourite moments, matches and heroes – anything goes! Simon will then travel around Northern Ireland and Ireland to film the best stories. If you think you have a story to tell about the Reds' Irish connection, then email Simon at Spread the word!
