Reds pay respects

Manchester United's first-team players and staff paid a sombre visit to the Munich memorial in Germany on Tuesday shortly after landing in the country ahead of the club's Champions League match with Bayern Munich.

The memorial, which was first unveiled 10 years ago, stands as permanent testimony to the darkest day in United's history.

David Moyes led the squad's visit to the memorial stone, which stands near the site of the old Munich Airport where, on 6 February 1958, 23 people, including eight players, tragically lost their lives.
