Manchester United has today (Wednesday) announced the launch of 'United for Heroes' – a new initiative in the United States that will honour military and government personnel.
This campaign will provide complimentary and discounted tickets for United’s International Champions Cup matches in Denver and Washington DC, in association with tournament organiser Relevent Sports.
United for Heroes will see the club and Relevent Sports join forces with www.govx.com – a US organisation that provides discounts on clothing, event tickets and sporting equipment for those who serve and protect the country and local communities.
United are currently in the United States on their pre-season tour, with a number of exciting matches across the country. The tour kicks off tonight with what is expected to be a sell-out crowd of over 89,000 for the Chevrolet Cup match against LA Galaxy in Los Angeles. The team will then travel to Denver to play AS Roma on Saturday 26 July and on to Washington DC to face Inter Milan on Tuesday 29 July. The matches in Denver and DC will be part of the International Champions Cup.
Tickets for the matches in Denver and Washington DC will be available to US military and government personnel through the United for Heroes scheme. There will be an initial allocation of complimentary tickets and then further tickets available with a 25% discount.
