Michael Carrick has been at Manchester United through seven full calendar years, but surely none of the other six could rival 2013 in terms of drama both on and off the pitch.
In addition to winning a record-extending 20th league title, Carrick and his colleagues waved farewell to the man who had brought them all to Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson, before welcoming in the club's first new manager for more than a quarter of a century, David Moyes.
Speaking exclusively to ManUtd.com during the Christmas period, Michael said: "As players, we embrace the change. It’s a new challenge, but ultimately it comes down to still playing football and still doing the same things we’ve done all our careers, certainly since we’ve been at this club."
