deserves that chance.
Do you think it’s a good move to The Championship for him?
Of course. It’s his first experience of first-team football. I think he can handle it and I’m sure he will do well with the help of all of his team-mates of course.
He deserves a break after his injury problems..
He was out for around two years but now he’s been back playing for a year and a half now so it’s a good thing for him. I think he’s going to do well once he gets the opportunity.
You’re in and around the first-team squad and were on the bench at West Ham. Is the aim to keep pushing for a place?
Of course. I have to push myself and train hard every day. Of course, in front of me, I’ve got top, top players like Robin [van Persie], Wayne [Rooney]; Chicha [Javier Hernandez] and Welbz [Danny Welbeck] as well. It’s hard for me to get in the first team but I have to train hard for myself for the future. I’m still only young.
Do you hope your form for the Under-21s is impressing the manager?
I don’t know about that as, obviously, I’m a striker and I hope to score a goal in every game. But it’s good to be top goalscorer of the Under-21s and I’m happy about it.
You were unlucky with your last loan moves as the two managers left soon after you joined..
I had very bad luck with the loans but I think it helped me a lot. I think it helped me to gain experience in general. If I go out again on loan, I’m sure I will do well. I have been away two times already and, if it happens again, I’d look forward to getting playing time because maybe I made some mistakes but now I understand, I will take the chances I will have.
