Januzaj claimed the January prize with 75 per cent of votes cast by Reds fans, providing a welcome present ahead of his 19th birthday on Wednesday. Speaking to ManUtd.com, Adnan explained why he’s keen to build on the successes of his 18th year.
"I am quite pleased with my year, I have done a lot of work and have been integrating into the first team," he explained. "I have played games and I think there is more to come. I hope to win trophies at this club and be the best player."
Januzaj is now a team-mate of £37.1million club-record signing Juan Mata, who arrived at Old Trafford from Chelsea in the January transfer window. Understandably, the Belgian-born youngster is delighted to be playing alongside a player of such quality.
"He is a great player and I think I am going to learn a lot from him," Adnan said. "He is a technical player who is very clever. He scores goals and gives assists. We are very happy to have Mata at the club."
