Pick November's top player

Starting with a seven-goal thriller against Hull and finishing with a masterful Manchester derby victory, November was a memorable month for United.

Although the Reds suffered a disappointing defeat at Arsenal, a number of players rose to the fore in a month which saw Sir Alex Ferguson's side win four games, draw three and lose once, scoring 13 goals and conceding just six in the process.

Cristiano Ronaldo ended the month on a low point, having been sent off in the Manchester derby, but the winger bagged four goals in seven appearances, while midfielder Michael Carrick returned from injury with a string of fine performances, capped by goals against Hull and Stoke.

Following defeat at the Emirates, United's defence posted five successive clean sheets - against QPR, Stoke, Aston Villa, Villarreal and Manchester City - so there are three members of the Reds' backline in contention for November's player of the month award. Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand have been rock-solid, while Patrice Evra has continued marauding up and down the Reds' left flank with breathless vigour.
