With the seconds ticking down at Ewood Park, United were behind and on the verge of handing control of the title race to Chelsea. Cue Carlitos, who arched himself to reach Scholes’ flicked header and beat the seemingly impermeable Brad Friedel to keep the Reds in pole position.
