Fans' transfer talk

With the season now over, United fans have been having their say, via our message boards, on who Sir Alex should buy this summer. If you have an opinion, go to www.manutd.com/talkingreds

We need a new striker. Tevez and Rooney are top quality but on a few occasions over the season when Rooney has been out we've suffered. Gabriel Agbonlahor would solve this problem as he is a good young player with plenty of talent, and can only get better working under Sir Alex. I don’t think he would mind starting on the bench and would look to impress when he gets his chance. He's English and it is good to keep up our English balance of players. I feel he would be a lot cheaper than most of the other strikers being mentioned and I think he'd jump at the chance for a move to Old Trafford, even more so as Aston Villa are not in Europe next season. This season he scored 11 league goals, which was a vital contribution to Aston Villa. His talent has earned him a call up to the England squad and I think in just two to three years he could be a starting regular for England so it would be good to get him now.

I'd love to see Micah Richards in a red shirt next season, but United should act quickly if they want to sign him!

Alexander Zahariev
Berbatov is the player to replace Van Nistelrooy! He is a great finisher like Ruud but he has amazing technique. I hope to see him in a United shirt.

Rafael van der Vaart has great passing skill, he’s young, a free-kick specialist and can score goals when he gets a chance. He will be a great combination with Anderson or Scholes. He is captain for the Dutch National team while he is still young.

I really like the look of Aaron Ramsey and I hope he joins us. I'd expect him to go out on loan to the Championship or to Sunderland for a year or two, and then he would make a big impact for the Reserves and eventually the first
