Gary Pallister's United XI

Having spent nine glorious years at Old Trafford, former defender Gary Pallister had plenty of options to choose from for his best United XI.

My team would be an opposition manager’s nightmare - and the opposition defenders wouldn’t be too happy either!

As well as great pace, my selection has steel and strength, particularly in midfield. Aside from their combative qualities, Keane and Robson were technically very gifted. Up front, Ronaldo and Giggs give you great pace, and along with Eric and Sparky, they would torment even the best back line. Here's my XI with a formation of 4-4-2...

Peter Schmeichel
He changed the face of goalkeeping and was the world's best for years.

Gary Neville
A solid performer who always gives his all. He has become a great captain.

Steve Bruce
My old pal was a fantastic defender, a good passer and very determined.
