Video: Fantastic first goals

Sir Alex Ferguson was surely right... Danny Welbeck will remember his first goal for United for the rest of his life.

Of course, that may still have been true had the ball just bounced off his backside or bobbled from his big toe into the bottom corner of an empty net. But the fact Welbeck's first goal was a memorable strike worthy of any occasion makes it all the more special.

Danny, and Rafael the previous week, are not alone at United in that respect - as our free video shows, quite a number of United's established first-team stars have opened their accounts in style. Take Cristiano Ronaldo - we've grown very accustomed to enjoying his stunning free-kicks, to the point we've had two in one game this weekend. But when he blasted home from a deadball situation in November 2003, it was still a wonderful novelty.

Our video also features first goals from Rooney, Carrick, Nani, Tevez and Hargreaves. But which one's your favourite? Vote now at www.manutd.com/polls.
