Polls: August aces

Losing the Super Cup in Monaco wasn’t the ideal way to bring August to a close, but the eighth month of 2008 still produced plenty of highlights for United fans.

The period brought a number of victories - in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's testimonial match against Espanyol, in pre-season at Peterborough and in the Barclays Premier League at bogey ground Fratton Park. August also saw Sir Alex's men pick up some silverware at Wembley, following a victory on penalties over Portsmouth.

But who, in your view, was United’s star performer during the month? To help you decide, we’ve narrowed the Player of the Month candidates down to Patrice Evra, Darren Fletcher, Carlos Tevez and Nemanja Vidic.

And which goal was your favourite? Choose from Vidic in the Super Cup, Fletcher's goals against Newcastle and Portsmouth, Fraizer Campbell's strike against Espanyol and Darron Gibson's effort at Peterborough.
