No blood, no tears, but plenty of sweat was shed by all earlier this month, as members of United's editorial team took part in the Tatton Park 10k run.
As part of our ongoing fitness challenge - whereby six of us are gamely battling to reach Premier League players' fitness - we braved a tricky, undulating course in unlikely heat to post some respectable times and - more importantly - raise some money for the Manchester United Foundation.
There was late drama as United Review editor Paul Davies withdrew with illness, but the rest of us notched times of 46 minutes (Ben Hibbs), 49 minutes (Steve Bartram), 50 minutes (Nick Coppack) and 94 minutes (Gemma Thompson, who kindly held back to keep injured ManUtd.com designer James Adams company). For the record, international websites editor James Tuck enjoyed the wedding he attended instead.
All told, we have raised £665.03 to date - buoyed by a sizeable contribution from chief executive David Gill - and our donations page (www.justgiving.com/moscow08) will be open for a few more weeks. Thank you to everyone who gave up their hard-earned cash for this worthy cause.
If you fancy seeing how we're faring in our ongoing fitness challenge, a monthly update will appear in the next three issues of Inside United. Time is ticking away, but we're edging ever-closer to our goals.
