Player of the Decade: #4
Amid so much of United's success over the last 10 years, Paul Scholes has been the creative hub; popping passes, pulling strings and making sure things run smoothly.
Partially down to his aversion to the spotlight, the bashful midfielder has been criminally overlooked in terms of individual honours, but continues to command the undying respect of his peers. Ask any United squad member who tops the bill in training, and to a man the first name they will proffer is 'Scholesy'.
And then there are the goals. For all his craft and sleight of foot, Scholesy's knack for thumping leather has enraptured Reds for years. From Bradford to Barcelona, the little master has walloped home some of the most memorable strikes of the decade.
As Carlos Queiroz once put it: "Playing with Scholes is like playing with the lights on." Even at the age of 35, the veteran midfielder continues to illuminate Old Trafford.
