Today at OT: 14-18 December

would have been nice to have had a slightly more straightforward tie (no disrespect) against the likes of Olympiakos or Stuttgart, but it will be great to see Becks again. (MN)

12:40 The dates for United's Champions League last 16 matches have been confirmed as follows: The first leg at the San Siro will be played on Tuesday 16 February, with the return leg at OT on Wednesday 10 March. (MN)

11:31 The other piece of big news that broke while the draw was in progress is a new contract for Ryan Giggs. (AB)

11:29 The draw's been made and Milan are United's next opponents in the Champions League. So David Beckham's coming back to Old Trafford... post your reaction to the draw in our Today at Old Trafford thread on Talking Reds. (AB)

09:58 So Nemanja Vidic is the main doubt for Saturday's trip to Fulham – fingers crossed he'll train today and be passed fit. You can read more in our Football News story. (GT)

07:47 Draw day is here. Later on this morning we'll discover our opponents in the last 16 of the Champions League. I've got a sneaky suspicion there may be a reunion with a certain Mr Beckham. Sir Alex says he has no preference, but I'm sure he'd prefer a meeting with someone like Olympiakos, say, rather than one of the Milans or Bayern. I'm heading to Carrington in a short while for Sir Alex's weekly press conference. I'll bring you the latest team news ahead of Saturday's trip to Fulham just before 10am. (GT)

Thursday 17 December

It seems Becks isn't the only one hoping for Milan v United in the draw. When I last checked our online poll, 12 per cent of you would prefer that tie to any other - making Milan the third favourite choice behind Stuttgart and by far the most popular pick, Olympiakos. Let's see what tomorrow brings. Bye for now. (AB)
