16:50 That's it folks, although of course I'll be back at Old Trafford tomorrow evening. I'm not working though – just enjoying the match from my seat. Ben Hibbs and Adam Bostock will be in the press box covering all the action and reaction for ManUtd.com. I'm tipping a routine 2-0 win for the Reds. (NC)

14:48 United's Premier Academy League match with Manchester City, scheduled for Saturday 12 December, has been postponed. A re-arranged date will be confirmed soon. Meanwhile, the U18s take on Liverpool this Saturday. You can watch the game live on MUTV from 10:45 GMT, and read a report on ManUtd.com after final whistle. (BH)

12:45 Today's office activities, incidentally, have centred around the Ireland/France/handball storm. Our work has been soundtracked by background music from France (Air) or Ireland (The Corrs, sadly), or in some way related to hands (Reef - 'Place Your Hands'). And we're keeping a tally of the number of times we spot Thierry Henry's handball on TV. It's currently on 19, from a period of roughly two hours. And yes, we are still extremely busy. 12:40 Reports are suggesting that Tom Cleverley has extended his loan at Watford until the end of the season. We'll bring you official confirmation if indeed that is the case.
