Only nine men have pulled on the red shirt more times than Scottish full-back Arthur Albiston. Over an OT career spanning 14 years Albiston made 485 appearances, scored seven goals, helped the Reds out of the Second Division and earned three FA Cup winners’ medals. We asked fans on Talking Reds for questions to put to him…
If you could relive one moment from your career, what would it be?
From Robi Prosser
Nothing beats your first-team debut and mine was in a Manchester derby in the League Cup. I’d played at Old Trafford for the youth team and Reserves but to play in front of 55,000 people was really special. It’s an odd sensation to know all those people are cheering for you.
My dad says you scored a last-minute winner at Anfield in 1981. Can you talk us through the goal?
We were dominating the game but it was 1-1 with a minute to play. I managed to chest the ball down and play a one-two with Frank Stapleton, which sent me into the box. It was wet and I knew there was a chance the defenders would go sliding past me if I stayed on my feet, which is what happened. As the goal got closer I remember thinking that if I could just get a decent strike away I was in with a chance.
Next Up... David May

Post any posers you've got for Maysie on the Talking Reds thread.
On the spot interviews will appear in the matchday programme United Review and on ManUtd.com.
