Our matchwinner against Arsenal recounts five other memorable strikes from his five years at United…
Birmingham, 2005/06: This was my first goal for United and came a long time after I joined the club – around five months. I was very happy when it went in and also relieved.
Fulham, 2008/09: I practise this kind of finishing in training, so it was nice to take that onto the pitch. It was a satisfying goal and different because it was a solo run and finish.
Arsenal, 2009/10: We were already 2-0 up and it’s nice to score against one of the big teams, especially at their place.
Liverpool, 2009/10: This is probably my favourite because the atmosphere against Liverpool is different to other games. At the time it was 1-1 and we needed a goal, so it was great to be able to score it against our rivals.
Wolves, 2010/11: It’s always a great feeling when we score a late winner at home, and this was the first time I was responsible for it. I just cut inside and hit it.
