After spending a number of years trying to stop Zinedine Zidane weave his magic, Ryan Giggs is looking forward to joining forces with the three-time FIFA World Player of the Year winner.
The pair will represent the Rest of the World side at Sunday's Soccer Aid match against England at Old Trafford and Giggs can't wait to line-up alongside one of the game's greats.
"At the time I played against him when he was at Juventus he was the greatest player in the world," Ryan told the Soccer Aid programme. "You just couldn’t touch him. I’ve chased him around the pitch many times before so it'll be nice to play with him rather than against him."
As for the ROW's tactics, Giggs says simply: "Just give the ball to me or Zidane and we’ll take care of things!"
Money raised from the event will go to UNICEF, for whom Giggs is an ambassador. "I’ve been witness to the great work they do and the impact they have on the places I’ve visited with United throughout the world," he says.
"It’s important that everyone enjoys themselves on Sunday, but there is serious message behind Soccer Aid - we want to raise money and awareness of the issues facing children around the world."
