"I’m an attacking player and I like to go forward and try to create goals or score goals. I’m quick and I’d like to think I’m quite skilful with good technique." – Nicky Ajose
Nicky Ajose is a highly-regarded attacking talent hailing from Bury in Greater Manchester.
He can play up front or out wide on either flank, and most importantly likes to beat defenders and score, or create, goals.
Ajose signed professional forms with the Reds in summer 2009, but has been associated with the club's youth setup for a number of years.
"Nicky has been with us in the Academy for a long time," says U18s coach Paul McGuinness. "He is a very exciting player and has the ability to beat defenders with his pace or skill.
"He is very quick whether he is running with or without the ball," adds Paul. "Nicky can make things happen in and around the goal. He’s creative and is capable of making or scoring goals."
An increasingly effective attacking weapon for the U18s, Nicky has also made the step up to Reserves football on several occasions, and will further his football education with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Warren Joyce in the second string.
