Phil Jones' first career goal was enough to secure a vital victory for United at Villa Park on Saturday.

On a day when all of United's title rivals won, the Reds knew only nothing but three points would do in their tea-time clash with Alex McLeish's side.

Jones' goal proved to be the difference as he stole in to volley home Nani's cross on 20 minutes.
