Natural inheritor of Keane’s ‘Mr Manchester United’ mantle, Red Nev’s remarkable consistency at right-back or, on demand, centre-half, has studded these glory years since he first clinched a regular berth in 1994/95, and his desire to keep United on top remains unsated by the passing of the years.
