After Berba's third hat-trick of the 2010/11 season, we recall the last time a United player scored three triples in a season...

Dimitar Berbatov's third goal against Birmingham City had hacks and stattos scrambling to StretfordEnd.co.uk to find the last time a Reds star scored three hat-tricks in a campaign.

They didn't have to go too far back - eight years ago, Ruud van Nistelrooy achieved the feat with a trio of triples against Newcastle United, Fulham and finally Charlton Athletic. Like Berba, the Dutchman notched all of his hat-tricks at Old Trafford and all in the league as United pipped Arsenal to win the 2002/03 title race.
