On this day in 2008, United overwhelmed Stoke to notch an impressive 5-0 victory at Old Trafford.
Tony Pulis' side had no answer to the rampant Reds and 17-year-old Danny Welbeck came off the bench to mark his Barclays Premier League debut with a stunning strike in front of the Stretford End that he will never forget.
Cristiano Ronaldo's free-kick made it 100 goals for the Portuguese star in the United shirt and he supplied the assist for Michael Carrick's goal on the stroke of half time.
Dimitar Berbatov and Welbeck got in on the act before Ronaldo wrapped things up late on with another trademark set-piece past Thomas Sorensen.
