United's DHL tour has not only featured two new players in Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell, it has also presented the club's two new kits to the world.

After the red gingham-inspired shirt was worn for the first time in Durban, and subsequently used again in the Cape Town, Shanghai and Oslo matches, it was the turn of the white on Wednesday night when the Reds squared up to Barcelona in Gothenburg.

Of course, the United players were unfortunate not to make a winning start in the new apparel, which was unveiled on the catwalk in Cape Town last month.

The first victory in white may therefore have to wait for the 2012/13 season to get underway and with a colour change necessary against Liverpool early doors, in September, who knows... maybe Anfield will be the stage for it.
