Robin van Persie trained with his new team-mates on Friday morning after putting pen to paper on his contract with the Reds.
The Dutch striker has agreed a four-year deal at Old Trafford until June 2016 with the 29-year-old declaring it "an honour to sign for Manchester United."
Van Persie could now make his debut in the Reds' opening game of the 2012/13 season on Monday night against Everton at Goodison Park.
