United fans waited all last summer for a Dutchman that never came along. Now, the Reds have signed two in the space of five days.
Following hot on the heels of Robin van Persie's arrival from Arsenal last week, United announced on Tuesday that left-back Alexander Buttner has swapped the Dutch Eredivisie for the Barclays Premier League. The Reds, as former goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar put it on Twitter, "are turning Oranje".
Van Persie's 22-minute cameo in Monday night's defeat at Goodison Park made him the seventh Dutchman to play for United. He follows in the footsteps of Arnold Muhren, Jordi Cruyff, Raimond van der Gouw, Jaap Stam, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Edwin van der Sar.
In our video, first shown on MUTV, you can watch footage of all those players in action for United. Hopefully van Persie and Buttner will add their own highlights over the coming years.
