Video: Group-stage stunners

Lists of favourite goals in the UEFA Champions League would naturally lean towards the ones scored in the latter stages - like Scholes' semi-final screamer or Solskjaer's unforgettable, instinctive finish in the Nou Camp.

But dig deeper into the memory banks and you'll swiftly find some gems in the early rounds, as our free video of great Manchester United goals in the group stages demonstrates. Inspired by the draw for the 2012/13 Champions League, the editorial team at Old Trafford collectively came up with the following list of ten crackers, in chronological order:

Lee Sharpe v Barcelona (94/95), Ryan Giggs v Juventus (97/98), David Beckham v Barcelona and Andy Cole v Barcelona (both 98/99), Paul Scholes v Panathinaikos (00/01), Ole Gunnar Solskjaer v Lille OSC (01/02), Juan Sebastian Veron v Olympiakos and Ruud van Nistelrooy v FC Basel (both 02/03), Wayne Rooney v Fenerbahce (04/05) and Cristiano Ronaldo v Sporting Lisbon (07/08).
