Cristiano Ronaldo gave United a huge boost in the 2006/07 title race when he scored a late winner at Fulham to put the Reds nine points clear at the top of the table.
The Portuguese winger ran from inside his own half all the way into the Fulham box where he neatly slotted the ball into the bottom corner in a game that the home side had dominated.
A mix up in the United defence had allowed Brian McBride to open the scoring before Wayne Rooney crossed for Ryan Giggs to volley home the equaliser for the Reds just before half time.
Tomasz Radzinski headed against the crossbar from close range in what was the best of many Fulham chances after the break.
But United made Fulham pay for their missed opportunities as Ronaldo stole the show in the dying minutes which sparked jubilant scenes on the visitors' bench.
