Living up to his growing reputation as a big-game player, Ji-sung Park secured an important 2-1 win for United over Liverpool in March 2010.
The Korean, playing in central midfield, popped up on the hour mark to power home a diving header from Darren Fletcher’s superb teasing cross.
United had fallen behind early on when in-form striker Fernando Torres found himself unmarked in the box to head home Dirk Kuyt’s cross.
But the visitors’ lead was to last only seven minutes, as Wayne Rooney scored from the rebound after his penalty, awarded for a foul on Antonio Valencia by Javier Mascherano, had been saved by Pepe Reina.
The win moved United back to the top of the table, but the 19th title would have to wait another season as Chelsea went on to pip the Reds to the championship, with Liverpool finishing seventh.
