United endured a mixed month as a team - winning three games, drawing one and losing two - but there were still plenty of individual displays to admire.

Michael Carrick - Played every minute of the six games, bringing control and composure to the midfield.

Wayne Rooney - United's top scorer bagged five goals in April, including two cool penalties under pressure.

Paul Scholes - Excellent against Villa in particular, the legend's patience and technique have been invaluable.

Danny Welbeck - The young striker has been a fine partner for Rooney, scoring against Villa and Everton.

Ashley Young - The winger was a key contributor to the victories, netting at Blackburn and winning penalties.
