Eric Cantona often scored when it mattered. Here's our pick of his goals in big games...
Eric vs Ipswich, Portman Road, 1993/94
Victory would all but secure the title en route to 1994's swashbuckling Double, but United trailed 0-1 until Cantona headed home Kanchelskis' cross to haul United level. A crucial 2-1 win became inevitable.
Eric vs Blackburn, Old Trafford, 1994/95
United would surrender the title, but Cantona's winner against eventual champions Blackburn was a glimpse of what might have been. Four days later, The Incident at Crystal Palace deprived United of his services.
Eric vs Newcastle, St James' Park, 1995/96
'1-0 United, scorer Cantona' became a common occurrence in 1996's run-in. Peter Schmeichel performed heroics to fend off Newcastle, unbeaten at home, but Cantona completed a perfect smash and grab.
Eric vs QPR, Loftus Road, 1995/96
Relegation-embattled QPR looked like derailing United's title charge after a Denis Irwin own goal put Rangers in front. Cantona, as he often did, produced when it mattered.
Goal 67. Liverpool, Wembley, 1995/96
The '96 FA Cup final was memorable for two reasons: Liverpool's cream suit faux pas and Eric's sweet volleyed winner that clinched the double Double.
