Manchester United's title charge got back on track at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday, as Sir Alex's men beat Stoke City 2-0.

Goals from Michael Carrick and Robin van Persie handed United the points in a game that was light on goalmouth action. Indeed, the windy conditions made life difficult for both teams (Robin van Persie even had to re-spot the ball before dispatching his penalty) and the fixture is unlikely to live long in the memory.

But United's win took the Reds 15 points clear of Manchester City, leaving Sir Alex's men needing just seven points from the remaining six games to guarantee a 20th league title.

As ever, club photographers John Peters and Matt Peters were in prime, pitchside positions to capture the action and you can view the best of their images in our gallery.
