Blog: Swansea v United

keeper is still in some pain and is not moving freely.

53' Bony starts to make an impact as his knockdown is into the path of strike-partner Michu but De Gea is out bravely to halt his fellow Spaniard. De Gea requires treatment and Anders Lindegaard warms up on the touchline, along with Anderson and Rooney.

50' Michu tries his luck from a central position but it's straight down De Gea's throat and the United No1 saves at the second attempt.

48' Carrick is clattered by Michu but play continues. The Reds are attempting to keep possession and temper the added threat now being supplied by the reinforced Swans.

46' Wilfried Bony, who is wearing Wilfried on the back of his shirt, and Pablo Hernandez are both on for Michael Laudrup's team. Routledge and Leon Britton have been replaced.

46' United just need to keep this up in the second half as it's an impressive scoreline at the moment. Swansea are far from out of things yet and should be stamina-packed after already having a couple of Europa League ties under their belts.

Half time: Swansea 0 United 2

45' Cleverley is now cautioned for a late tackle on Angel Rangel. Another free-kick in a dangerous position is then comfortably handled by the visitors with De Gea ultimately making a simple save.

39' The United end is in full voice after that rapier thrust has handed the champions the initiative. Carrick becomes the third player to be yellow-carded, even though he appeared to slip as he challenged Routledge.

36' GOAL! It's a double salvo from United. Evra supplies another fine cross that comes off van Persie to Valencia, who calmly steers a first-time ball into the path of Welbeck. The England international makes no mistake from close range. 0-2.
