Wayne Rooney became only the sixth Manchester United player to score 150 league goals for the club when he netted in the Boxing Day win over Hull City.
The other five men to achieve the feat finished with tallies of 158 (Joe Spence), 159 (Dennis Viollet), 171 (Denis Law), 182 (Jack Rowley) and 199 (Sir Bobby Charlton), so there are still plenty of targets for the current star striker to aim for.
Rooney first reached double figures in the league with a stunning goal against Newcastle United, towards the end of his maiden season at Old Trafford in April 2005, and has since racked up the tens with impressive regularity. His century was sealed with the second goal of an important hat-trick away to West Ham, during the 2010/11 title run-in.
In the following season, 2011/12, Rooney's best tally for a league campaign, 27, included the goals which took him up to 110 and 120 for United, away to Bolton and Spurs respectively. Last season, he reached 130 at home to Stoke and later 140 against Norwich, also at OT. Now Wayne's rounded it up to 150, few would bet against him hunting down a double century - and with it, a club record - in the not too distant future.
