Rio Ferdinand was full of praise for Manchester United's training facilities when he appeared as a special guest on MUTV's Inside Carrington programme.
The defender has been honing his skills at the Reds' Trafford Training Centre - more commonly known as Carrington - for more than a decade but he can still recall the rather different workplaces he experienced with his previous clubs in the 1990's.
"When I was a young kid at West Ham, we used to get changed in portakabins," Rio told MUTV's David Stowell. "To then come here, to Carrington where it's state of the art, it was such a jump. I thought to myself, 'I've got to become a better player, just by coming here.'"
Inside Carrington goes exclusively behind the scenes at the training ground every week on MUTV. For schedules and subscription details, see manutd.com/mutv.
