Solskjaer also beating the exposed David James.
2008: Tottenham (H) 3-1
This was a typically entertaining encounter against Spurs with both sides going on the attack. The Londoners drew first blood when Robbie Keane netted, only for Carlos Tevez to level matters. Things turned in United's favour when Michael Dawson was dismissed for handball and Cristiano Ronaldo converted the penalty. Ronaldo wrapped it up late on, although Radek Cerny should really have kept it out.
1995: Wrexham (H) 5-2
Wrexham may not be the most illustrious opponents but they had met United in the succesful 1990/1991 European Cup-Winners Cup campaign and this was the fixture immediately after Eric Cantona's incident with a fan at Crystal Palace. A cracking tie ensued after Kieran Durkan handed the Welsh side a shock lead. Denis Irwin (2), Ryan Giggs, Brian McClair and a Tony Humes own goal punished the visitors for their audacity but Jonathan Cross pulled one back in the closing stages. Phil Neville was unlucky not to mark his debut with a goal when hitting both posts.
