Reds certainly looked like a team in form as Carlos Tevez netted twice – one a brilliant strike from 25 yards – in the first half. Wayne Rooney added a third with an equally stunning long-ranger shortly after the break before Ji-sung Park sealed victory nine minutes from time. After such an assured performance, however, the Reds misfired at Wembley in the semi-final against Everton and went out on penalties following a 0-0 draw.
