Former Manchester United goalkeeper and coach Jack Crompton, who sadly has passed away at the age of 91, is fondly remembered at Old Trafford.
As a commanding shot-stopper with the Reds for 11 years, he was an integral part of the 1948 FA Cup-winning team - Matt Busby's first trophy at the club - and played in the 1951-52 side that won the league title for the first time in 41 years.
As a coach he gave United great service in the 1950s, notably after the Munich air disaster, and also throughout in the 1960s and 1970s.
Jack may have been softly spoken but his passion for United was clear to anyone that met him and he will be sorely missed at the club.
