Old Trafford is an amazing place. A mecca for football fans around the globe, Manchester United’s home is truly awe-inspiring.
For a lot of fans, Old Trafford must feel like a second home. And yet, there are still plenty of areas that remain shrouded in mystery.
Here, as part of our Inside Old Trafford series (which first appeared in our United Uncovered newsletter), we delve into one of the most talked-about areas of the stadium: the players’ dressing room.
Redesigned in summer 2008 to replace those opened in 1993 when the dressing rooms were moved from their original location under the centre of the south stand to the south-west corner of the stadium, the home dressing room is now a modern sanctuary. It contains a huge flat-screen TV, three baths, six showers and a warm-up room equipped with state-of-the-art fitness facilities. There’s also the all-important tactics board, massage tables and, of course, a music player operated by Reds DJ Patrice Evra.
