Former United strikers Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke have paid tribute to their former team-mate Ryan Giggs following the Welshman's 1,000th competitive match.
The veteran played 90 minutes in the 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid at Old Trafford on Tuesday night and Cole and Yorke insist the 39-year-old's achievements in the game will never be bettered.
"He's a rare breed. His record will stand for a very long time," Yorke told us. "What he has achieved is unbelievable. There are not enough words to describe Giggsy and he keeps rewriting the record books."
Cole echoed those sentiments and praised the veteran's versatility.
"The way Giggsy has adapted his game has been brilliant," he said. "He plays in central midfield like he's played there all his life, yet he can still cause problems for defenders down the wing. He's incredible."
