There weren’t many goals but photographers still had plenty to focus their lenses on as Manchester United narrowly lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the Barclays Premier League.
Having already secured the title, the champions were a little lacklustre but still managed to contest a competitive meeting with Rafa Benitez’s Blues, who eventually sealed a slender victory via Juan Mata’s deflected finish off Phil Jones in the 87th minute.
However, perhaps the biggest talking point of the game was referee Howard Webb’s decision to dismiss Rafael for a challenge on David Luiz, who appeared to make the most of the exchange.
Thankfully, official club photographers John and Matt Peters were on hand the capture the incident and the rest of the game, allowing you to make your mind up about the dismissal. Click the main image above to view a gallery of their best photos.
