Manchester United’s first team and Under-21s boast three strikes apiece on our shortlist for the May Goal of the Month award.
Rio Ferdinand’s late winner against Swansea – his first goal since 2008 – is in contention, as are Shinji Kagawa and Alexander Büttner’s efforts in the 5-5 draw at West Brom.
Two Larnell Cole goals are nominated: his hat-trick strike in the Reserves’ league semi-final victory over Liverpool and his late winner in the final against Tottenham.
And Marnick Vermijl’s goal in the same game against Spurs, which kick-started a 3-2 comeback win for Warren Joyce’s youngsters at Old Trafford, completes the six-goal selection.
