Wayne Rooney has been named as United's Player of the Month for September by fans on ManUtd.com, Twitter and the club's six foreign language websites.
The striker was the overwhelming choice of Reds supporters after a string of excellent performances last month, which included five goals in all competitions.
"It’s always nice to win any award and for this one to be voted for by the fans is special and something I’m very pleased about," he told ManUtd.com.
"I was just pleased to be back playing last month. Just being back on the pitch and playing has been great and it’s been nice to score a few goals as well."
Wayne showed few signs of being troubled by a head injury picked up in training during the month, and had no hesitation in picking the favourite among his September goals.
"I’d say my one against Crystal Palace," he said. "It was my first goal of the season, and it’s always important to get that first goal as it gives you the belief to kick on and score more."
The winners of this season's monthly awards will make a donation to a charity of their choice, as well as picking up our new trophy.
"I'm donating the money to the Young Enterprise charity in Trafford," added Wayne. "It’s a charity that teaches school children important skills for when they start their working life."
