We run the rule over United stars' prospects of playing at the World Cup finals next year...
How has Lindegaard contributed so far? Having kept a clean sheet in Denmark’s opener against the Czech Republic last September, Lindegaard missed out on the following qualifiers through injury. Real Betis keeper Stephan Andersen has since occupied the role, leaving the United man battling to regain a place in the Danish squad.
Situation at United? Lindegaard is awaiting his first Barclays Premier League action of the season, having been on the bench in United’s three opening fixtures. The 29-year-old continues to play deputy to David De Gea, as he did for much of last season, but has expressed his desire to force his way into the side at Old Trafford.
Likelihood of being involved in the squad? Olsen looks set to stick by Andersen after declining to call up Lindegaard for this month’s internationals. Anders may well feature in Denmark’s final two qualifiers, depending on the outcome of the next few days.
