United ready for Bayern battle

Manchester United are ready for another momentous European occasion when tackling world champions Bayern Munich at Allianz Arena this evening.

David Moyes' men confounded many critics when matching the Bundesliga title winners and Champions League holders at Old Trafford last week, when only Bastian Schweinsteiger's equaliser denied the Reds victory. Written off in some quarters again for the second leg, United will need to produce a classic performance in order to reach the semi-finals.

"We can't leave anything behind on the night, to make sure that we go through," said David Moyes, while Patrice Evra insisted, "It is unusual to say that we can save our season in one game but we must make sure the fans will be proud of us."
