Video: Fighting spirit

After beating Swansea City last weekend, Manchester United are looking to build momentum by putting together a run of Barclays Premier League wins.

A tough task awaits on Sunday at Stamford Bridge, where third-placed Chelsea have still never lost in the league under Jose Mourinho, spanning 70 games over his two spells.

But we won’t be fazed. On countless occasions over the years, needing a result from a game against a big rival, the Reds have pulled together to get the job done.

And while it’s been a mixed season so far, we saw another example of that famed United spirit in November’s win over Arsenal, as Robin van Persie’s goal and a concerted defensive display accounted for the leaders.

That’s one of five examples we’ve picked out from the Premier League era, which illustrate how such encounters are often decided by fine margins. You can watch them all above.
